Beautiful!

Oh, this is lovely. It's more hopeful, more of a wish-fulfillment than anyone on this show would ever get. But IF the show were to have this kind of closure for anyone...it would look and sound like this.

I love that you've chosen to have Elliot show up SO soon after Lewis, when Liv hasn't had time to build up enough resistance, hasn't had time enough to scab over the raw spots in her defenses. Your choice and how gobsmacked she is when she runs into him, how they've BOTH been going to therapy and have a little more balance, a little more space where they can have an emotion without going into full retreat immediately, how *steady* Elliot is in his resolve... All those choices make this believable, and where it easily could be *only* wish-fulfillment, it reads and feels and IS more strongly a believable possible path.

You've got the brittleness and brokenness and steely strength of them, you've got their comfort with one another AND their prickliness...all those contradictions are here, fleshing them out as much as actors can on the screen. I am really impressed that you let it be perfect...while not having it be TOO perfect. Liv isn't well, Elliot makes mistakes, there is a degree of physical and emotional weakness still pervading them each as individuals, but their connection, as much as they're still figuring it out, is still robust and certain.

This is excellent writing. It's nice to read a might-have-been that I can buy and that I can hold onto as an alternate timeline. Thank you.
