Wow. That was so beautifully written and the characterization was so great. I think this is definitely one of my favorite interpretation of both Éponine and Montparnasse and the reason behind their choices. Bravo!

This was amazing. Wow. Every bit of this was just absolutely brilliant. It was great to see how the Thenardiers and Montparnasse changed. A nice little fill-in for the gap we get in the book/movie where everything changed. This was a really fantastic study in character development.

I can now understand how desperate Eponine must have been when she lead Marius to the barricade. She lost every thing, and that could even make the strongest of women buckle. After reading this, I feel really bad for Montparnasse (I can't believe you got me to like him, I always disliked him, and now I see him in a higher regard). In his own way, he really loved Eponine - and I think Eponine would've been happy (or at least content) with Montparnasse. Oh why oh why did she fall in love with Marius? But I suppose she can't chose who she loves. Either way, this fanfic was brilliant! You really humanized these characters, and were able to effectively write them in such realistic ways. This is really wonderful! Thank you thank you for sharing this. (this is now a part of my headcannon)

I like this Montparnasse! Writers often depict him as a violent abuser, but I like that Montparnasse can be sweet and caring, especially to Eponine. If i wasn't such an avid Enjonine shipper, this fanfic alone would turn me into an Eponine-Montparnasse shipper! I think you do such a great job and humanizing the characters - you make them so much more 3 dimensional. Yes Thenardier is a cruel and neglected father, but he wasn't always like that. And yes, 'Parnasse is a ruthless assassin, but he is also a boy who is capable of feelings.

God, this was so amazing! I lined up with the book and I loved that, I could almost pretend this happened in the novel because I recognized every detail.
Eponine was completely in character and I loved seeing Thenardier and Montparnasse really love her. It was a nice refreshing story!
