sambayar chapter 1 . 8/22/2017 wow...oh my god.. wow.. |
Spicy Iron chapter 10 . 12/30/2015 WHAT?! Wait-WHAT?! How in the name of-WHAT?! WTF just happened?! *looks all around self* Where the hell did that come from?! I know what that last part was implying, there's no mistaking it. But why? Why is it implying what it's implying? The baby is Tony's?! And if true, how? And most of all, WHAT?! |
Spicy Iron chapter 9 . 12/30/2015 Haven't been able to read because of the holidays, but I couldn't wait anymore to continue this story. This chapter was a shocker, no question. It was both funny and sad, the moments where Pepper was high on her medication and talking like Tony did in the Last Summer when he was the same way. Now pepper has gone into labor and it sounds like it's going to be a tough one. Now, I gotta tell you, I'm completely shocked and confused about Tony just flat out killing Rhona like that. It wasn't like with Ghost, this was more personal. Something didn't seem right. And what Rhona said about the bounty, it makes me wonder if Maya's mysterious benefactors are the ones. And what did Fury mean by "phase three?" Suspect I won't learn anything until the 4th year, will I? |
Spicy Iron chapter 8 . 12/21/2015 That was a pretty scary chapter. Birds can be dangerous, and any kind of animal swarm, no matter how silly the actual animal looks, is always frightening. So those crows, which were clearly not even natural, would certainly do the trick. Where the heck did they come from and who sent them? I really felt bad for them that their apartment was destroyed, including their personal effects. Not the Pepperony scrapbook! And that message (written in blood?) was pretty jarring. I'm glad Tony talked Pepper out of giving the baby up, but that was pretty mean what she said to him, even if she wasn't thinking clearly. I think I saw a Superman reference in their regarding an old couple in Kansas :) I have a bad feeling about the end of this story. There's a lot of mention of how these last weeks are going to be the most risky and vulnerable, and I doubt that was mentioned solely to provid pregnancy education to the readers. |
Spicy Iron chapter 7 . 12/16/2015 Ok, finally read the whole chapter and boy was it fun. As I said in my PM, the opening scene with Wheel of Fortune was stop-the-press funny. Tony engaging in "girly" activities and getting his nails painted had me hurting trying to hold in my laughter, because I was in the library. Pepper hurting while laughing at the same thing wasn't helping. Pepper's meal scene was also funny and it took me a moment to recognize why it seemed so familiar that Tony imagined a tentacle coming out of the stew: that was from Ducktales, wasn't it? The episode where the nanny is an imposter and Scrooge's nephews imagine an octopus in the soup she gives them, I forget the episode name. But that's it, right? Brilliant. The reactions of the four men and how they plan to feed it to Rhodey was also funny. Is it wrong that Pepper's weird pie still sounds good to me? And then Tony had to screw it all up, but I guess it was due, and I technically can't blame him considering the situation. Pregnant women are said to get really horny randomly, so in his mind it could have been possible that Pepper's hormones told her Happy was looking mighty fine, overrode her loyalty and common sense, and had her just say hell with it. Still, stupid move Tony. But hey, haven't seen jealous Tony in a while. How is he gonna have to apologize for this one? |
Spicy Iron chapter 6 . 12/14/2015 I did not review this sooner because I finished it really late at night and sort of hurt myself doing it. At a very specific point in this chapter, I actually fist-pumped (don't laugh at me, I get carried away with good stories sometimes), and when my arm shot out in that fist-pump, my fist hit the wall. It wasn't just a little hit either. That's me being reckless. Anyway, this was an exciting chapter that managed to keep everything condensed into only four separate scenes. That lets me keep this focused. I love how Tony and Pepper are interacting in regards to the baby's sex and Tony's role in its life. That was really kind of sad that Tony doesn't know what he's going to be, but Pepper seems supportive. Then Scott showing up made it worse, but Tony was being equally supportive. Don't know what Scott saw, but I do know that women bleed from there for various different reasons and most guys are not prepared for that, so I totally get him fainting. XD The beach scene really hammers home Tony's dedication to pepper, and her appreciation for it. But who was watching them? Rhona? Maya? Or whoever is running the conspiracy I can still sense building? The Christmas party scene was excellent. You showed all these pairings I'd never thought of (although you do have a talent for that), and then the dance scene and the proposal. This was where I fist-pumped. I had to look it up on YouTube to remember that song from Wall-E, but once I did I imagined Tony's lyrics with it. Perfect. Pepper's reaction was also believable, considering all they've been through. The last scene had a lot going for it. The pepperony scrapbook, nice touch. Tony's dog tags and they're inscriptions are awesome. Name-drop of Pym Industries shows the real Rhona is still sneaking around. And then, Tony talking to the baby (a boy, I knew it too, Tony!) and the baby practically answering back. Bonding already. Yeah, Tony's not going to have any problem raising a kid who is not his. He's doing everything right so far. I am seriously loving this story! |
Spicy Iron chapter 5 . 12/9/2015 Good gravy on a bad McNugget, I wish these review boxes gave individual sections to review specific things in a chapter. Got a lot to cover here: Rhona was a fake. Why did I not see that? The hint was how she walked through the police tactics without flinching... not to mention androids and mechanical/computerized death gadgets being her ENTIRE shtick in the series. She'll be back. ;) Tony and Pepper are doing it now, huh? Awesome. Got to say, I'm jealous of Tony in that scene. Getting kissed and massaged by Pepper, even grabbing her butt again. *whistle* Happy had a lot of smart stuff to say there, for once. I like the House reference and I remember that line. I used to love that show, but after they got a new cast in the fourth season it became unbearable for me and I dropped it. Good reminder of an enjoyable time. Pepper dominated in the press conference. Dang, if Bill Clinton had just had her as his spokeswoman, he wouldn't have had to even make an apology. And I recognized the Daily Bugle. Cool Spider-Man reference. Wish Jameson was there XD Tony's gonna propose! And the Pepperony ring, absolute genius! Excellent play, there. Oh, and Rhodey asking Tony if he was proposing to him? I barked out a laugh and an old lady gave me a dirty look. And finally, that scene between them at the end. Pepper finally knows Tony was not talking about her and Tony got to feel the baby kick. Sweet scene. I also like how the others were eavesdropping the whole time. Snoopers :) If it's impossible for any form of art to be perfect, this chapter at least gave the rest of the series a run for its money. Kudos. |
Spicy Iron chapter 4 . 12/4/2015 Man, lots happening in this one. Tony and Pepper staying in one room again, and Tony making her waffles that she's getting all excited for. That's nice. And shower action, that's really nice XD And again, it was Pepper's idea. Going to check on the baby and talking about some of the stuff that comes with pregnancies, Tony going and getting her for for her cravings at weird hours, all goodness. Then, Rhona showing up. You are really utilizing the return of IMAA villains well. Crazy how she managed to lock them out of their system with Tony's inventions. How did she get that info? She mentioned a bounty for Tony and Pepper; is she working with/for whoever Maya was working with? Did they give her the info that Maya got from being Rescue? (Thought I didn't spot what you were doing there, didn'tcha!) And this time Pepper killed a major villain by blowing her up. Now she and Tony both have one to their credit each. Mad Thinker, huh? Didn't know there was such a villain, but I knew you putting that in there when she was never called that in the show was significant. Looked it up. Why does it NOT seem weird that Rhona used to be a dude in another continuity? And again, Pepper thinking weird thoughts that don't seem to connect to anything while indicating something specific. What the hell is that about? You said it's deliberate, but what is it? Tony's not one to talk? About what? He would stop being with her if he knew? Knew what? Was she raped by a Maggia member after all after she slept with Tony, didn't tell anyone, and found out she is not only pregnant but also has HIV and doesn't want to tell Tony? That's the only thing insane enough I can think of that it could be, but knowing you, that's too normal and it's something totally bizarre. What is she thinking about?! |
Spicy Iron chapter 3 . 12/1/2015 Finally got to finish this, and wow. Pepper told everyone. Not exactly the welcome back Virgil was expecting, I'm sure. So, Scott is taking it well. Howard and Roberta... gotta tell you, that was funny, how they went back and forth like a tennis match. And then when Tony and pepper were talking about their night together while her father is right there! XD That was a ROFL moment! How awkward. And now it looks like he and she are finally ready to reconnect. I hope it isnt long before some Pepperony fluff happens. Already a huge relief from the tension in the past stories. |
Spicy Iron chapter 2 . 11/20/2015 ... Where do I begin? Ok, so Maya is gone at last, she's still working for whoever she's working for, but seems to be sorry for what she's done and seems like she doesn't want to be doing it at all. Is she being blackmailed? Pepper is pregnant? For real this time? Whoa. And now she and Tony are reconnecting, so... Tony is going to end up helping her raise Cyclops' child? That's sad, that Pepper's first child is not Tony's, but that's how it is sometimes. I like how you keep real situations with these characters. I don't know whether to hope Pepper has a miscarriage or not, as that seems like too simple a fix and at too horrible a price. And there were some things Pepper was thinking in this chapter that I wasn't able to follow with what she meant, what was that about? This story, although bringing back the pepperony, is not going to be simple, is it? |
Spicy Iron chapter 1 . 11/18/2015 Oooooh crap. Do not tell me Pepper has developed cancer or something from one of her trauma incidents! It'd make great drama, but no, that's too much, unless Tony is gonna find a way to cure whatever she has. Did she go to the cemetery to see her dead birth mother? |
l OmegaInfinity l chapter 10 . 3/9/2014 I... I really don't know what to say. I was enjoying the story. It was lighter and more fun then the last few. There was more of Happy, which I liked. And the twist at the end makes me want to keep reading. But... that doesn't change what you just did. You killed my favorite villain. Not just killed her; you had Tony murder her in the most horrifyingly way possible while she was begging for her life. And honestly... I don't know why. I was okay when I thought Pepper killed her earlier in the story. That was in the heat of battle; people die in the heat of battle. And it made sense then; Pepper surprised and outsmarted her. I was fine with her dying like that. Instead, rather then having a hero kill a villain with no other choice, Iron Man murdered a defenseless girl. I'll put it bluntly; while I will keep reading, because I DO want to see how this whole story ends, and I DO love your writing, I can't call Tony a hero anymore. I cannot fathom ANYTHING happening from this point forward to redeem Tony in my eyes. Then again, if anyone could pull something like that off, it'd be you. All I can do is hope, pray, and keep reading. See you when I start reading Year Four. |
ebbs-imagination chapter 10 . 3/5/2014 I kneww it! |
