I don't get it, how can Jack and June be main characters if Jasper was hit by a nuke, and they were there? I'm just curious enough to keep reading and put this on my follow list.

Dark, that is what I see this is going to be. The idea of the 'locals' or 'others' is not new (Foxbear is one of the first authors that come to mind), of course the 'locals' could include those that have passed. Variants on a theme can be a good thing. I like reading Dark every now and then. Most stories here end up being too bright.

Seeing as this is going to be a little spiritual (demons), may I make a suggestion? Have some, if not our main four, of Jasper inhabitants return as vengeful/avenging spirits (Siren works well for Miko, Jack would be a commander, Raphael a strategist, June would be like unto a Fury- a mother's love turned to vengeance). Megatron may not fear spark-ghosts (various animated versions of ghost StarStream) but he should learn to fear that which was once human now released from the mortal coil and returned from beyond.
