What a beautiful goodbye to a truly great man. He brought such life to all his characters, but my two favorite were Poppa Walton and Poppa Gibbs. He will be missed. I hope CBS does as good a send off as you.

My godmother died when I was ten or eleven or in between and for as long as my godfather still lived in that farmhouse (more than 20 years still, I think), I always after her death just for a split second when we arrived at the farm on a visit, expected her to come walking down the garden path with her husband to come welcome us.

That was wonderful. I loved the way you grasped Gibbs emotions. I think they were perfect. And I love the Gibbs/McGee relationship. Very well done. Looking forward to reading more.
