It is too late. But beautiful story. I really like Digimon. Takeru and Hikari were very adorable. I am a fan of these children because when I first saw was the same age. I can not believe 15 years have passed. Think we'll see in middle school in November. It's like being a child I saw a new episode of Digimon.

You may not think this story was cute, as you say you are a terrible writer, but I would disagree. I thought it was adorable!
(To be fair, it would take a certain level of skill at being awful to make a fic about 9 year old Hikari and Takeru on valentines day not cute :P but I think you did a very good job. Genuinely.)

The way you portrayed the two youngest digidestined was so accurate to how I felt they were in the show, it was lovely. As well as that, the older boy's awkwardness around both getting gifts for Sora was cute. Basically I commend you for this cute oneshot fic, it was enjoyable to read, you built it up well and your writing of the characters was brilliant. Nice work!

But just so you know, in Japan only the women give presents on February 14th, mainly chocolate, to their male acquaintances.
They give giri-choko "obligation chocolate" to co-workers and classmates, "tomo choko" to their friends (they may also give this to female friends, and the term is mainly used by the younger generation) and honmei choko "true feeling chocolate" to the one they love. Honmei choko is usually homemade.

The men are expected to return a gift that is at least twice as valuable one month later, on March 14th. Not only chocolate is used, but also flowers, accessories etc.

I really liked to read the story! It was really interesting because of the two presents for Sora. Glad to hear that it didn't affect the relationship between Yamato and Taichi. The story between Takeru and Hikari was cute as well.
