I think you wanted to write, "Half a century later, Fili, son of Thorin..." instead of, "Half a decade later, Fili, son of Thorin..."

Interesting way to neutralize both the arkenstone and the ring. This way a lot of innocent people were saved from their influence.

Dwalin...he had an excuse but he did kill Thorin's brother. Still, without the arkenstone, he's safe.

The legend kind of confirms to Billa that she did the right thing in refusing him since he doesn't love her, or so she thinks, accordingly to the legend.

Tauriel may be desperate but she's using Billa and she might put her in danger! And now Billa refused Thorin..something is telling me he'll not take it well.

At first I didn't understand what was with that book but then...Uncle Tom's Cabin...well, I have an excuse, english is not my native language...So, Billa was trying to change Fili's look on slavery and Thorin caught her.
