I ship Mary and Francis but this was written extremely well.
Good job, the ending is very strong for a one shot.

I like the tone of your story...I am not sure I like the next episode with Clarissa taking the princes. And I cant help but wonder where Francis just disappeared to. I imagine that he may reappear in the next episode. I love Mary & Bash but I liked Francis too. I feel like Catherine has nine lives, she seems to love her children above all else but still seem so evil. I loved how Bash took charge and ordered Catherine imprisoned . It think it will be interesting where you go with this or is it complete.

So touching and well-written! Perfect Bash POV and strong characterization for Mary - and sweet caring interaction between them - and I like how you addressed the Clarissa plot. It's a shame you don't intend to write more! This feels like a great first chapter. ;) But thank you for sharing this much. We might not have Mash much longer on the show so I'm extra grateful to fic writers like you!

Not drivel at all! :) The way he held her was indeed beautiful and I can't get over it either! I'm glad you were inspired and I hope you continue ...or write other Mash fics! I like your style, and you did a great job writing them both in character and conveying their emotional states. Bash's fierce protectiveness, deep devotion and fear for Mary...really came through. And the way you wrote both Mary's vulnerability and her strength - love how brave and clever she was despite the trauma, thinking about the best way to handle Henry, and already processing the Clarissa situation. Glad you had Mary tell Bash about that right away, showing how much she trusts and confides in him - and I just love seeing them tackle problems and work as a team. And save each other. :) I'd really like to see what happens next! The show will probably skip over a lot of this emotional bonding and aftermath. Show moves too fast. :P Please continue? :)
