I'm agonizing right now. I want to read more. But the last time I read a fic involving these kinds of themes I was depressed for months. Good start to this story. I like that there's already some mystery with Naruto and Kiba. They both seem nice, but Kiba was apparently seen with all the victims right before they disappeared, and Naruto has strange bruises around her neck that she's trying to hide. Does she have an abusive parent or boyfriend? Are they from fights she gets into? Or could it be a struggling victim was the one who gave them to her?

My only word of caution for this fic is that I've seen other people try to do high school "undercover" fics, and they just end up as boring old high school fics. The author starts off well with making the MC into a police officer who is investigating a crime, but that only lasts for a couple of chapters. Once the fic gets going, the author usually abandons the investigation to make the MC start acting like a normal high school student who goes to parties and makes friends. The investigation doesn't get mentioned again until the last couple of chapters when the MC is forced to catch the criminal so the author can end the fic. Personally, I read this type of fic because I want an investigation. I don't want a high school fic bookended by an investigation. I'm hoping you'll stick with the investigation plot because Sasuke is older than the other characters and not too interested in repeating high school. He wouldn't care about going to parties unless he thought he could get some evidence from it.
