The ending of chapter 22 is still, hands down, one of my favorite interactions in any WH40K fanfic ever. It has stuck with me ever since I read it.

It really makes you see it from a perspective outside of 40k, for the true madness and scale that it is. It is not self gloating, but statement of fact in the absurdity of it.

Trying to visualize the scale of it is nigh impossible. Only mountains are as big as the ship described. I really do appreciate the mental image, and the so brief interaction between Claudius and the STG

Well, here we are in 2020 and this story is left half-finished. A shame, really, I just couldn't stop reading it, it's entertaining. Quite detrimental to my sleeping schedule, really. A little too many grammar and spelling errors, especially in the last few chapters. Though I don't know how this story was supposed to handle the collector base, and later, the other side of the Omega 4 relay, with the Collectors being portrayed as ridiculously OP as they were.

This was fun to read, but for anyone seeing this. If you don't want to read unfinished stories then don't bother with this one as the author hasn't updated it for almost 3 years. Sad

Oh man. I could not put this story down from the moment I found it. It was interesting tonsee how the introduction of all the 40k factors effected things. Great stuff. Hope it gets updated one day if you are still around.

If you’re not entirely set upon what profession Shepard should partake in 40k, I would like to provide two possibilities. Since Bioware bases a great deal of his/her history, methods and personality aligned with the paragon/renegade system I would put forth that if you make him/her primarily renegade, you should choose Inquisitor, and if you go paragon you should choose commissar.

For the Inquisitor path if you take a comparative perspective of 40k and Mass Effect, he/she was essentially an Inquisitor in Mass Effect when they were made a Spectre and when Cerberus brought them back from the dead and provided them with a ship, dossiers of potential recruits for their team, and a mission to pursue. A character RenShepard is very comparable to is Eisenhorn, an Inquisitor who was originally a Puritan and as he went about his Inquisitorial duties slowly turned Radical as he realized the usefulness of using Chaos against Chaos. He also experienced the loss of many in his retinue and service as Shepard has when they’ve lost friends and teammates, or couldn’t save everyone, turning callous and hardening in response.

And for ParaShepard...well you don’t have to have them in charge of an entire army. Read any Ciaphas Cain or Ibramn Gaunt novel and they’re a prime example of how you could do ParaShepard, as being a political officer would give them a measure of power that they experienced in Mass Effect.

Hope these suggestions and comparisons helped in the brainstorming/writing of a 40k/Mass Effect crossover.

Grammar wise, I cannot recall any I had found (maybe I did and forgot, shrug), and as a habitual grammar Nazi they tend to find their way into my attention.

Ooh! Now you've got the plot moving! I'm excited to read how Shepard responds to Eisenmus' memories especially. You've left off on a nice set-up with a burning station, a looming Necron threat, Cerberus plottings, and heading to the Collectors. Keep it up! Followed!

Why are you making Collector weapons more powerful than lasguns. I'm sorry but no Collector weapons are no greater than equal to a lasgun. Humans explode when hit by las weapons but Collector particle rifles weren't shown to be that good.
