"It is only human to commit a sin." Is that quite the right way to put it, I wonder? It seems to imply that sin is a necessary consequence of human nature, and we all know that's not the case. ("God made man upright", you know.) If you'd said, "It is the human condition to commit sin," that I could get behind, but this other… no, I don't think so.
