I really liked this story. The ending was a little sad but it made perfect sense Curly was holding her back because there's no way he would ever leave Tim.

Oh, despite it being inevitable what with Amara going to college and Curly hooking up with Nancy again, can't help being a little sad things didn't work out for them.

Have enjoyed reading your story, I like how you've written Curly throughout and Amara's been a likeable character too :)

Oh no, kind of feel a little sorry for Curly, despite his actions - he just seems so resigned to the idea of losing Amara once she goes to California that it seems like he's set on making it happen no matter what rather than just talk to her about how he really feels :(

Amara is so naïve on things sometimes, trusting everyone and not thinking that there might be consequences of associating with the rival gang. Liked her mum in this, and her realisation on how she probably knows a whole lot more than Amara thinks she does. Interested to see what happens next - hope you update soon! :)

Enjoyed this chapter - I liked the scene with Curly meeting her family, although sad to see that he realises she will be leaving soon and will move on without him. Also interesting to see how much Amara has changed through the story and like how she enables Curly to see that he can make his own choices, not just automatically do as Tim asks. Looking forward to seeing how the last few chapters work out :)

Great updates, good to see Amara and Curly finally working things out between them, but interesting that he realises that she needs more than just him to make her happy.

Great to see an update :) Like that Curly was given the job to run - some nice observations, like how he preferred to be working with his friends, rather than the older boys.

Also, interesting scene with Amara, although a shame things didn't stay good for them for long - I like how you show Curly's conflicted feelings, how he wants to tell her things are ok but at the same time wants their relationship to be something more than the 'dirty little secret'.

Oh, and really liked the last line of the chapter, it summed it up well.

Oh my god. Why would you do this to me?! *Starts intensely sobbing.*

I'm loving this story, I just spent the last day reading every chapter! Now that Amara has admitted she likes Curly I hope they work on the relationship

I like how you've shown her becoming progressively less comfortable with the world she thought she wanted to be part of, with the scene in the restaurant, then finally realising Jimmy isn't who she wants despite being perfect 'on paper'.

Nice update, a lot going on in this chapter.

Liked the beginning with Amara, how Curly's realised he needs to give her some space, also enjoyed the scenes of Curly at home and the relationships you show with his family, then also how he's pleased that Tim's impressed with his ideas and how his brother's approval is still so important to him, even though he knows he's potentially hurting Amara by sharing the information.

Looking forward to seeing how you continue this. :)

Glad you've updated, some good things going on. Kind of amused me that Amara's mad at Curly for dealing, but it doesn't seem to bother her that Jimmy is buying, although I'm guessing Curly's hoping it'll make her see Jimmy in a less favourable light. Also, liked that Amara's main reaction to her father's news was worrying about how this would add to her own problems - quite a believable 'self-absorbed' teenage reaction :)

Also enjoyed reading the moments between Curly and Amara, how despite her protests she's glad to still be with him at the end of the chapter in contrast to the 'boring' time she spent with Jimmy, looking forward to see where you go with this next...

Nice chapter, I liked Curly's thoughts at the beginning, they gave a good insight into his home and family, particularly his relationship with Tim. Also some nice contrasts between Tim and Henry's lives, as well as Amara and Nancy, and Curly's feelings towards and thoughts on the two girls. Oh, and loved the appearance from Angela at the end too :)
