Commander Evans?! Like Evans from the library with Sophia?! Things are starting to fall into place!

I think the woman is probably the equivalent of President Coin from Mockingjay and is the leader of the Resistance. Victor 1 is Sophia, and Elders 1-3 are Hannah, Maggie, and Hannu

This was AMAZING! This is by far my favorite fanfic ever. It was so intricate and combined my favorite aspects of both The Hunger Games and Lorien Legacies. I’m so excited to read the sequel. Thank you for sharing this! You are truly an amazing writer!

Please tell me Marina is FINALLY realizing that her feelings are reciprocated. I mean, she acknowledged that he looked like he wanted to kiss her, he said he wants to be the ~only~ person she dances with, AND called her the most amazing person he’d ever met (I’m squealing, btw). Can he make it any more obvious?

Yes finally! Someone realizing that Maren doesn’t ~owe~ Sam a relationship just because he has feelings for her. I’m SO glad John finally changed his tune of thinking about that

Also the scene with Cody and Albert literally killed me omg I can’t believe he did that O.O

Noooo I knew she was gonna die but I’m still so sad for Hannah omgWhere was Sophia during this? Why was she unable to help save Hannah?

Did Marina do anything this entire round besides give Stanley the idea for turning the piken and Krauls on the Mogs? I hope she did (even if it’s not shown in this chapter) because even in Ro9 in Dulce she was helpful before she had any official training whatsoever in canon

Even though this chapter was shorter, I LOVED it! So much more of an impact. I can’t stop reading this fic I’m so excited to read Round 3!

Of course Adelina told the Mogs that Marina was goneadd that to the list of reasons Marina deserves a better mentor

This chapter was so good! I loved Navrina! Joseph is so smitten he is willing to risk his life for her oh boy! I also liked seeing a more sympathetic side of Cody with Albert. Maybe Marina could heal him too.

My prediction is that Christina knows about the resistance, along with some of the other mentors (like Henri since John frequently mentions he thinks Henri knows more about the Occupation than he’s letting on). But if that’s true, why wouldn’t Christina tell Sophia the truth? Sophia was obviously chosen by the resistance for her help. Meryl said as much in their meeting. So if Christina is familiar with the Resistance, and knows Sophia was recruited to help them, why is she still hiding information? I’m excited to read more and find out!

Hypothetically, I wonder if Cody knew he were going to be an elder, he would ally with the Loric instead of the Mogs. It seems like his main driver is a desire for power, which he would get as an Elder. But then they might end up with another Setrakus Ra situation so I guess it’s better that they never told him.

Because in the canon series he was more brainwashed and I have a feeling that’s likely to happen in this fic too, but right now (before he’s brainwashed) maybe there still would’ve been hope for him, ya know?

The traits of the ten elders are very fitting for the elders in this series that are supposed to take over, especially for Seven, Eight, and Nine (except maybe Cody and Ella should switch characteristics because she’s more intelligent while he’s more power hungry)

“That’s not my name” ? Who is Evans really then? Does he have something to do with the resistance and Meryl?!

After their capture the flag game when Sarah shot Maren, how did Maren not know what a great shot Sarah is?

I loved this chapter! Even though I could guess what would happen from FoF, I was still very entertainedI’d guess that Hector will die to make Marina’s cryikinesis manifest. It’ll be just like in Catching Fire when Cinna dies as Katniss is going up in the tube to the arena, and her first thought is “this is not place for the girl on fire” but for Marina it will be Hector who is assaulted/dies as she’s going up the tube and her thought (because of the heat in the arena) will be “this is no place for a girl with ice” or something like that

I like to see the bonding between the tributes! It seems like there’s almost two groups (1. Marina, Joseph, Ella, and Stanley; 2. John, Sam, Sarah) with Maren bridging the gap between the two groups. Poor Hannah doesn’t fit into the dynamic though. That is probably better in the long run though since it will hurt the others ~less~ when she dies.

Poor HannuI wish there was something Sophia could’ve done to try and protect him. She must be kicking herself in the audience that she just lost another of the nine. Ivan needs to die!

So proud of Ella for saving herself! I love the bonding between Marina and Stanley and I love to see some of Stanley’s walls breaking down

Idk which the foreshadowing could be, but I have some guesses!
1. Stanley and Marina forming a little team to protect Ella
2. John and Sarah breaking up
3. Maren and Marina’s close bond

Aw poor NiaI remember being fifteen and having such a strong crush I thought I was in love. Poor girl just wanted Joseph’s affection. But yay Joseph is alive and safe thank goodness!

As always, the Navrina scene is flawlessI’m also laughing at the interaction between Maren and Sam when Sam’s like “I’ll wait” and Maren’s like “you really shouldn’t have to” like bro isn’t it only like two weeks until you’re “safe”? It’s not that long of a wait lol

I’m also loving the friendship between Joseph and Maren it’s so nice to see the Garde tributes bonding like in India in the real series
