This was so cute! I love this! I applaud your use of the English language. The vernacular sounds very professional. This would make a great novel.

Anastasia and Dimitri are kind of, forgive my language, d*cks in this. Tatiana has every right to be resentful, they're not good parents at all.

Very well written. Love the family Dynamics. Ivan is cute and Tatiana is at times a little annoying but human. I like it that she's a foil for Ivan. I'd really love to read a follow up where Tatiana realised that Dimitri loves her and they get to meet their great grandma :)

I'm glad I came across this. I've been perusing the fandom for good reads and this is one that's gotten my attention because of the pacing and the way you put down Tatiana's thoughts into words. It's like going through the mind of a child who feels rejected and out of place.

Well written (aside from a few capitalisation nicks because I'm pick at those). Though historically, Maria Feodorovna passed away in 1928 and the film's setting is in 1926 so that would put the setting of this fic to be around 1939 or 1940 perhaps. But I'll give you credit for creative license. Even I do that with my own fics.

Anyway. Good read. I hope to see more of your work (if you intend to write more) in this fandom.

Well, I wasn't expecting a reaction like that, but she has a right to be upset.

This is like the best Anastasia fanfic I have ever have the pleasure of reading. It's so beautifully-written. Like how you depict the relationship between Dimitri and Anastasia, being an old couple and all. Tatiana's emotions is well-construed and understood. Adds elements of reality to the story.

Well, it's not exactly easy hiding the fact that you're the Grande Duchess Anastasia Romanov. Lol. Thank goodness Dimitri is alive!

Wow. I'm surprised by how much I actually like this. Tatiana is so close to being that annoying, ungrateful narrator, except I can't help but feel sorry for how out of place she feels in her own family. It really is so terribly sad that Anya (who so desperatly wanted a family) and Dimitri's daughter feels like that, but it also is an interesting mirror to the self loathing and worthlessness that Dimitri feels about his former life. I really think this deserves a follow up, I'd love to see her interact more with Dimitri, and hopefully realize her Papa does love her.

I liked how you handled the financial situation and the fact they are still living in France (I never could see them going back to Russa, and I totally buy that Grandma sends them money so her beloved granddaughter isn't scrounging in the streets). Surprised that Tatiana and Ivan don't know Grandma, seems so sad that she is still sitting alone in Paris, with no granddaughter or great-grandchildren around her. Wonder why Anya and Dimitri have decided to forgo her having a relationship with their children (especially after everything Anya went through to be reunited with her grandmother), it's not as though Marie wouldn't send them a train ticket.

I absolutely LOVED your depiction of Anya and Dimitri's marriage after all these years. Sweet and full of love, even after the aging years and thickening bodies and troublesome kids. And I thought the hemophilia scare that Anya had concerning Ivan was an excellent nod to history. The fact that Anastasia is officially still declared missing meant this story belongs in that wonderful juncture between history and myth, something that suited this story well.

So, thanks for story! Surprisingly enjoyed it (Anastasia is my favorite animated movie, which means i like few Anastasia fanfics) and would love to see some sort of sequel so that I could have some sort of happy closure about Tatiana's life (or even an alternate pov of Anya's family, Tatiana's opinions are obviously skewed). PS-I am so glad you didn't kill Dimitri, that would have been terrible.
