i am intrigued. i enjoy hiko's personality and his confusion as to what is going on and would very much like to see what's going on and where you're taking it. i will be looking forward to reading more of this and other work of yours.

i also hope that you get a beta reader if you hadn't already. i used to beta read for a few authors here and in the 'iy' and 'labyrinth' fandoms but since i'm occupied watching two grand-babies most of the time i can't in good conscience offer my services. have you tried posting a request on any of the 'rk' groups or communities at live journal, dream width or even at deviantart?

i appreciate your wanting to wait until a story is completed before publishing it, i feel the same way but sadly i have two incomplete works that will likely stay that way since there is never enough time to concentrate on them.

Oh my gosh. Oh my gosh. Sounds truly promising. I've been longing to read something of the supernatural genre lately. I love that there is intrigue right from the get go - speaking of "incompatible species"?! Plus Hiko as an uncle - an uncle that reads waaay too much into scenes - seriously, his deductions were really left field and it had me grinning like mad. I do love Hiko. If you were to continue this, you simply must have him more.

Why fics don't make more use of Hiko as a "regular" character is a huge mistake. He's like the Sirius Black of RK fandom - only, much stronger. But that hot uncle vibe - really hard to resist. I know this fic won't be focusing on Hiko. But after the first chapter, you had me following you because of your Hiko POV first chapter. Refreshing.
