Can I just say that I thoroughly enjoyed this? There is such a need for well-written and creative Frary fic, and you have certainly written a wonderful piece. At first I was put off by the lack of spitfire in Francis, but I love that the end reveals what has been simmering under the surface of his Medici skin. So delicious. Thanks for writing and sharing this!
