I am with Nathan here...I would not want to have the ability to feel William...or Mara...that is if I were to be afflicted with Nathan's trouble.

To be honest...when William kept on saying that he and Audrey held a physical connection towards each other...I will admit I was one of the one's who was thinking towards their tv screens that what William was spouting off at Audrey was a load of BS-until we all learned how right William was when Nathan shot him and caused Audrey to have the same gunshot wound...at that point I was like "Oooh crap...he was telling the truth" and then we had to watch Duke put pressure on William's wound in order to help Nathan keep Audrey alive. Though given the fact that she and William were linked during season 4 and that he could feel everything she felt...what do you want to bet that William could feel Audrey and Nathan hooking up? I think seeing William's displeasure over having to feel that himself would delight me greatfully since I didn't like his character at all.

I like how in the final season when Nathan found William in the void that he gladly took the chance that he couldn't take in season 4 to beat the ever loving snot out of William without having it affect Audrey...and Nathan also had fun telling William that not only did Mara die but she also cheated on him with Duke Crocker. Something tells me that Nathan had a little too much fun breaking the news to Nathan...but if you think about it here...dealing with the harshness of Mara in order to save Audrey took a toll on him. I felt extremely bad for him during that whole mess because of the fact that even though he was able to rescue Audrey from Mara...the mere sighting of Mara still haunted him.

boo! sorry to see this ended. i knew what i was getting into before i started, though - but this is well-written and i like how you flesh out the characters. also, i like much better where you're going with this than the actual writers did. nothing but plot holes and ruined potential in canon!

Hey there! Sorry to hear this, but I understand. The show is kind of a let down right now and I think many are missing the focus of the show being Audrey and Nathan. I loved this story and had waited a while for the next chapter, but again, understand you deciding to call it quits. Thanks again and have a terrific new year!

Well, this is disappointing... You should just delete it from the site IMO. No point in keeping online when you have no plans on continuing this. If you decide you want to revisit, just publish it all again.
I just say this because it's horrible to read an incomplete fanfic and keeping it on the site might mislead other readers.

I'm so glad to see the Harker situation work out so much better here, and I'm curious about the past you've built for Mara. Though poor Audrey, still not very good at communicating with Nathan. Great job and keep going!
