I like it. In one chapter, you developed their relationship possibly into something more:

1. liz's POV in meeting his dad for the first time. her understanding why he excluded Patty but kept her with meeting the dad. liz's train of thoughts of thinking she's crazy about thinking that Kid cares also describe her jaded personality.

2. you have also managed to develop the tension between them especially when liz confronted kid. but first

3. i love how you wrote first a friendship bonding time with the three of them. it's really an important milestone in anything romantic with depth.
