It’s been over a year, and I hope that you’re okay. According to your note, you should have already gotten your service dog. I hope that they helped and that you can come back to this fic. I have literally never seen anything like this, and I’m pretty sure I’ve read every single HTTYD Watching the Movie fic out there. This is unique. I completely understand why you didn’t put any movie in the last two chapters. I would have done the same. This is so beautifully written. The Network is such a great idea. I did notice one thing. The gronckle that was captured is Meatlug, who is a girl, not a boy. Just wanted to say that. I hope you’re okay during these trying times, and that you’ll update soon!

I have really enjoyed this story. I feel like most of these types of stories mostly consist of reading a movie script with characters making sarcastic remarks throughout the whole thing as they watch. The reason I want to read these types of fics is because I like reading the character's thoughts about what Hiccup has gone through and realizations as to who he really is. I like that you have more of that type of stuff in your version.

As to being in character. I'd say you are doing a pretty good job. In my opinion Stoick has a temper, but would never go that far. He seems to regret his actions after disowning Hiccup in the movie, but this is your story and I am curious as to how things will play out between Stoick and Hiccup. I also don't think Astrid would ever yell at Hiccup about him liking her. In my mind, Astrid felt sorry for him and maybe even kind of liked him before her first flight. In the scene where Gobber walks Hiccup home after Stoick doesn't belive that he shot down a Night Fury, Astrid looks after him with a sad look on her face, not a glare. But I liked where things went after her outburst at Hiccup, where he admits that he thinks nobody would care if he died. I think Hiccup is in character. I like how you characterized Toothless and the other dragons.
