I love the portrayal of Narcissa her. I felt so sorry for her though. Imagine discovering that your husband has not a mistress but peacock for a lover. Such a low blow.

It was so creepy that Lucius actually treated the peacock like a lover. All the kisses, the whispered promises. It was bizarre, but it definitely helped to fuel Narcissa's anger.

The ending, the revenge, was so perfect! I would have liked to see his reaction upon learning what he was eating.

Come ON! Where is the part of Lucius's reaction?

It has been a very long time that I've read a Peacock/Lucius story! I love this because we see what Narcissa thinks of the whole love affair and how she discovered it. Having to imagine Lucius with white peacock feathers on his long precious hair was very nice, I liked that you added that detail and at the end! Poor Peacock! Poor Lucius! Having to eat his peacock...I really wish to read his response, although I can imagine it. This was lovely and oh so wonderfully dark! Great job!

Lucius/Peacock - what a lovely, interesting pairing.
Hehe. Narcissa's little revenge plan at the end made me laugh, serving him peacock. The fact that Lucius snuck out to see the peacock and Narcissa caught him after finding the hints was good. I really don't know what to say about this, except for the fact that you managed to write such a bizarre pairing so well and made me believe it.

Ohhhhhhhh. The ending was superb. I could just see Narcissa simmering in anger, and finding the opportunity not only to get back at her husband but kill the "other" as well. I would never have thought of a peacock as part of a pairing, but hey, anything goes in the world of fanfiction. Very well written all around.

Hahaha, I'm laughing so hard right now. I can't believe you made this so real and believable. I mean... LuciusPeacock... I almost ship it now. :P The end was so unexpected and hilarious and still has me smiling. This was, surprisingly because I don't like bestiality, lovely. :)

I like the build up, how Narcissa is first curious, then jealous and mad. Lucius' total ignorance of his wife's feelings seems in character (even though I'm more fan of a happy Lucissa myself).
And oh my god, the ending! I could see it coming from the moment you mentioned dinner, but I was snorting nonetheless when Narcissa said "Peacock".

Oh my god, this was so weird and wonderful at the same time. The situational humor had me laughing a little bit at the thought of it all. I also think you wrote it out wonderfully, and the flow and pacing were quite nice. The ending had me laughing in one of those weird, i don't know if I should be laughing, kind of ways. All in all this was a really interesting piece. Great job!

It doesn't surprise me somehow that the only reason she's upset is because he actually shows tenderness toward the peacocks and not to her (and I wonder why, Narcissa, if you're going to act like that.) I loved your portrayal of Narcissa, and the revenge was so...Black-Worthy. Bellatrix would be proud. I loved it.

I enjoy stories centered around Narcissa. She's rarely given agency and the ending was a burning opposition to that. Your use of her inner monologue was the strongest element of the story and done with a good ear for the character. It almost felt like a Shirley Jackson story about a trapped housewife who exacts revenge on her husband. Dark and entertaining.
