Nice.

An enjoyable read, but there was just so much of the actual text of the book and very little in the ways of fanficiton that it was a little bit of a put off. Granted, I myself have used text from the books in almost every one of my stories. But I haven't used almost the entire chapter and add only perhaps six to ten lines.

Though for this chapter and quite a bit of last chapter, I was very happy to see pretty much complete fanfiction and not copy and paste from the book.

Having said that: I love Sirius lives stories and look forward to more.

Really good to see a new chapter of this! I just love fics where Sirius survives the battle in the Department of Mysteries, yet they are surprisingly difficult to find. If you're honestly looking for suggestions as to how to proceed, I guess I could throw out some things I'd love to see in this sort of fic:

-Bonding between Sirius and Harry (which you've been doing a good job with so far, but you can never have too much, what with their time together being cut so short in the books)
-Maybe Sirius's name being cleared? Since it was done posthumously after the DoM battle, it seems reasonable it'd happen it a universe where he lived. And on that note, his difficulties reintegrating into society—there would likely be many wizards who refuse to believe he's innocent.
-I would LOVE to see Sirius and Lupin bonding. They were once close friends who have (for obvious reasons) drifted apart over the years—it'd be interesting to see them slowly working back to that closeness, now that they're both different people. I've always loved the Marauders' friendship, and James was always clearly Sirius's best friend. But now with James gone, and these two having matured so much, I think Sirius and Remus could make very good best friends, and probably understand better than anyone else what each other's gone through.
-Sirius reconnecting with Andromeda? She was his favorite cousin, but I get the feeling that he never really got to see her after she ran off with Ted.
-More Harry and Lupin bonding? They got on so well in PoA, and Harry ended up being his kid's godfather, but they never got to spend much time together in between, and I think they could be good for each other.
-Lots of Weasleys. Weasleys being a family to Harry. Weasleys bonding with Sirius and Lupin. Weasleys bonding with everyone I just love Weasleys
-Horcruxes! It'd be cool to see a version of the story where it wasn't just the Trio hunting down Horcruxes on their lonesome. Maybe not bringing the entire Order in on it, but a select few.
-And on that note, Regulus. I would love for Sirius to discover how his brother changed in the end.
-Maybe some of their friends from the DA being brought in on things? I mean, I'm not saying you should induct students into the Order, but Neville and Luna were in the DoM battle, and I think it'd be cool if a couple Order members recognized that and thanked them and maybe kept them in the loop on some things?
-Somebody finally punching Snape in the face (just kidding) (but not really)

Haha sorry, I didn't mean to make that such a long list. Obviously I'm not asking you to jam all that into your story, but those are just the first things that popped into my head of "stuff that would be nice to see in this idyllic world where Sirius lived"

This is brill! Please update, I can't wait how the next chapter is going to play out. Since Harry isn't going to be mad with grief, he doesn't have any reason to destroy all of the headmaster's things... It will be interesting to find out what you put in its place. I am going to add to my fav. list now :)

Cool chapter though I thought Lupin seemed rather ooc

I like it so far, but it doesn't make sense that nobody noticed Sirius next to Harry, especially after Dumbledore diverted Fudge's attention to Harry by mentioning him and then giving him the portkey imo.

Wish the book had ended that way.
