Wow, thank you for posting this amazing fic! You're right, dark!Gryffindor!Harry is such an underused trope, and while house politics is definitely interesting, why should it always be in Slytherin? I was definitely hoping for a dramatic coup, but this hollow ending is much more fitting. I really liked how from the beginning there was this difference between Harry and the others, but instead of him becoming warmer and more like them as they get closer and he recovers from the Dursleys, they become colder and more like this shut off version of him. It was also really interesting with the similarities between this and canon, like it's the events of the books but just slightly off.

this is boring

I'm a bit annoyed that you didn't deliver clarity in the end after all the cryptic clues. I think you implied harry would become a dark lord in the future because of this treatment but in the end it was just about gaining control of the common room and defeating some bullies? After all that build up the final chapter was like bonfire night when the finale is this huge rocket or whatever which, instead of the fabulous KABOOM, you get a tired 'splut' and nothing happens. I didn't like the back to front final chapter which was all the more confusing for starting with a vast time jump. I had high hopes of this story, but it turned out to be another one about slytherin politics and bullying but with red and gold uniforms. I don't like the latter and wouldn't have read your story if i'd realised what it entailed. The only enjoyable bit was that the whole of the first year Gryffs were close friends. Frankly, i don't understand why they didn't all leave at the end of first year, pool their resources and hire tutors. I'm sure the parents (of those who had them). would have done their best to change things. Not so dramatic but more plausible. I commend your writing and hope to find more of your stories - hopefully ones a bit more cheerful and uplifting.

It have almost no plot but the "confrontation" between a ridiculous child who call himself "king", and some first years.

Honestly. A little conversation with any prefect and the end of the King is granted, with some detentions for bulling first years. Or even go to McGonagall: end of King and Knights... and probably demotion of some prefects too, for not do their job and stop the clown.

Honesty. For me, it have no sense, nor its interesting.

Btw. It's well written, but a bit too centred in Harry... and too dense: way to much narration, and very few dialogues or action. It feels a bit "cold". A bit as a text book.

So the king is only a pathetic clown with no real power... someone who let some 10 y.o. to insult and challenge him, and do absolutely nothing about it, but surrender all control over all the first years? And this is a punishment? To be free of him?

Then, why the other Griffindors follow him, obey him and bow in front of him?

Totally llogical and unbelievable.

Mmm... I didn't liked very much. Harry is 10 y.o. but behaves as a typical "way too macho" problematic teenager of 15-17 y.o.

About the king, knights, etc? It seems like a parallel power to the "legal" head boy/girl and house prefects.

I don't think the professors would let something like this happen. They name Hogwarts prefects, etc for a reason. They never would admit another power structure to compete against the official one.

The only way this would exist if the King and knights were appointed by McGonagall, and under the authority of Gryffindor's prefects.

All I can say is that this has to be ne of the oddest and most unusual HP stories ever. Kudos to the author for coming up with something wholly original. Would I read a sequel? Probably not. Too many jumps and odd transiting, and an ending that left too many loose ends for that.
