Stygian iron hurts both mortals AND monsters. In fact, it does more than that - it absorbs their very soul, their very essence. A non-child of Hades simply being near, let along touching Stygian iron , will slowly have their essence pulled into the metal - the more contact, the faster it happens.

Bit rough around the edges, but I think this story was really well thought out. I loved that you went into the story of Grundy, which is honestly the perfect villain for Nico, and his interactions with the team. Have you seen Outsiders? I'd love to see you maybe incorporate it in the future.

Got to say, I rarely give Percy Jackson fics a chance because of how poorly written they are. Surprisingly, I'm really glad I gave this fic a chance. It was absolutely riveting. The writing was good and the story was exciting.
