The twist was unexpected, but I did enjoy it very much. This was new. Thank you for writing and posting this, continuing it till the end. It's kind of strange, seeing Mycroft not as the eldest, but at the same time refreshing and quite entertaining. I wonder if the Order was the one the bunch of memory-wiping magicals belonged to... and why Harry didn't pursue the matter... but aside from that bit of nagging curiosity, I enjoyed a smooth ride. :) Thanks again!

This was interesting- a very complex backstory
but it was believable in that I have no reason to expect moral actions by Magicals interacting with non-magicals.

Who would think was in the Group that attacked the Holmes and their sons? I would be surprised to find Dumbledore was physically there as he has always used pawns to do his dirty work. Try to pin a crime in the old manipulator... not likely.
Was your Harold Holmes born on July 31, 1980? Is that why the Potters adopted/blood-adopted this magical muggleborn? Regardless, muggleborn Harold does not meet the criteria of the Prophesy. He was not born to two Magicals who had thrice defied Lord Voldemort. Should I infer that you think the Trelawny Prophesy was always bogus. And, that Dumbledore just manufactured the whole scenario to give the Light Wizards of Magical BRITAIN a spiritual sign that they must stay the course, fight the good fight, have faith that they will persevere, that Magic will provide a hero because their cause is righteous & just. The public had been crushed and almost rendered catatonic in fear of the Dark Lord’s overwhelming terrorist Anschluss. So, Dumbles could have easily created a Prophesy in order to distract the Dark Lord... He needed a magical baby... The Potters appear to have not been able to have children (else, why would James Potter do a blood adoption). This whole backstory smells of Dumbledore.
The Obliviating Kidnappers who attacked the Holmes Family in 1988 could have been Dunke’s old political buddy Ephias Dodge and a few of the more zealous Members of the Order of the Phoenix.
