Well, that was incredibly precious. Dolls normally creep me out but this just made it work.
Sunshine's writing helped a great deal with the atmosphere alongside her Alice and Marisa always worrying about her.

Would it be reasonable for Sunshine to have the mental capacity at such an early point to infer that Alice was worrying about “a stranger” rather than her previously, simpler understanding that Alice wasn’t appreciative cause she didn’t understand?

I’m also kinda surprised Alice discovering Sunshine didn’t end up being a single day event due to Sunshine trying to preemptively set the table for lunch and dinner too.

Wow, i loved this story! I especially liked how you wrote Sunshine's character and gradual self-awareness. It wasn't just wham, bam, sentience, but it was a slow and gradual understanding of who she is.

Needless to say good job and i would love it if you made a sequel to this.

I enjoyed every word of this story, every letter. A must read for any Touhou fan, and guaranteed to make you into one if you stumble upon it.

I haven't even reached a quarter of the first chapter and I already need to leave a review. That moment when the doll becomes aware of its own existence almost moved me to tears; I had to contain myself because I have guests today. Such sensible, careful, delicate style. I'm sure that more moments like this one are to come out of this reading. Thank you.

I think this is one of the best fanfics on the site. I really enjoyed Sunshine as a character and watching her evolve over the course of the story. I will be looking forward to the sequel.

Found this after already reading a lot of your stuff on Ao3 and i just had to reread this again, it's quickly become my favorite Touhou fic.

I'm hoping to get back into making YouTube videos soon, I would love to do a reading of this, hopefully I'll have perfected my Marisa voice by then.
