| mabscifiromantic chapter 1 . 3/8/2014 I'd like to review the story but I found myself so distracted by the medical misteps that I couldn't focus on the plot. I don't care if you're Oliver Queen, no ER would just shunt someone to a private room without the basic triage, especially someone who wasn't breathing properly. Try this: private room to triage him, start with the oxygen sensor on his finger, it's too low, so oxygen mask is next, listen to his lungs (concerned look, pages someone), take temperature (too high), blood pressure (too high), ask about how long and how much pain. Doctor comes in, listens to lungs and looks at O2 readings, orders breathing treatment, then xray. Then mask with breathing treatment, and meds for pain/fever then when he's breathing better goes to xray. Meds would include antibiotic and pain, but also a steroid and an inhaler. Can you tell I've had too much experience with this? I do like where you were going with this but I like more accuracy, as you can tell it distracts me from the story. Sorry to drop this on you. I like your writing. |
