I love this

For the record, I'm of the opinion that the half of Danny that IS ghost would be classified as a Lar or Penate, which is a type of Greco-Roman entity from legend. They're considered Hero, Guardian, or Protector Ghosts & even minor deities to a degree. They protect certain areas or peoples & their area of influence seems to depend, at least in part, on their level of power. Usually, they stick around crossroads or the families they had in life, (part of why they're also called Household Deities) but that sphere of influence can potentially grow from as small as a fork in the road to as large as a city-state.
They're actually considered to be very benign entities that helps to spread good fortune through things like fewer deaths, better crop yield, safety during raids, stuff that tends to stack up over times. Normally, it's just in exchange for things like a little acknowledgement that can be considered small thank yous. So, they're kinda like the opposite of poltergeists like Peeves & wraiths like I consider Spectra to be, in that Lares feed on positive emotions by skimming off the top when there's extra to go around & returns it with acts of protection.
As it happens, they're usually the ghosts of dead heroes who, despite being given the choice to move on had chosen to stay behind in order to continue protecting people.
I also find it interesting that there are apparently other types of ectoplasmic entities in legend that aren't, by default, villainous. Like Tommyknockers! Tommyknockers are the ghosts of miners (I think it's specifically coalminers, but I'm not sure) that linger underground & rather than attack people or something, they warn living miners & the like when they're about to hit a particularly unstable vein that WILL cause a cave-in. After picking at the cave walls with his pickaxe,the live miner will hear an answering tap-tap-tap from what sounds like the other side of the cave wall even though if there actually isn't a cavern back there & it's just miles & miles of stone. That's why they're called "Tommyknockers," because they knock on the sides of what was essentially their own tomb to warn others. It's like they're saying, "Hey, if you don't feel too much like getting buried, I'd suggest leaving." I've heard that they're even stated to be a 'soft-hearted lot.'
It's REALLY interesting. I mean, it's easy to find stories of ghosts & specters & ghouls that are inherently bad, but what isn't easy is finding stories of races of ghost that are, indeed, inherently good.

I really love this story so far! All the character interactions are interesting and its always funny to see how danny acts as a teacher (and how the views of the students towards danny change)

Heh heh, I'm glad Danny's trying to become Snape's friend. Cause their banter is pretty funny. And I honestly think they'd be great friends. Also, Danny's nicknames are seriously funny! PFFFFFFFT! Dumbles and Sevy... LOL xD

Wow, this is an amazing HP x DP crossover so far. I just cannot tell you how much I love what you're doing with it. It's different than any others I've seen. I liked the idea of having Danny as a teacher instead of a student - it's unique and very intriguing. Loving his & especially everyone else's reactions to things!

Your writing is immensely engaging, and whereas I mostly find myself skimming with fanfictions, in your case my eyes were latching on to every single word. And I know you mentioned not enjoying writing from Harry's POV, but nontheless you have /all/ the characters' personalities nailed and I was very impressed.

I also really like what you've done with the dynamic between Danny and Snape so far. I don't really have any strong opinions on the guy - neither hate nor love - but even so, I found myself really liking that you made him more than just the guy that everybody (including Danny) despises, like some other fanfictions I've read. And you did it while not messing up his character. Props to you, for that!

This was a very enjoyable read so far, and I'm so glad I found it! I don't know if/when you intend to update it, (and of course I understand if it's just something you're not interested in anymore,) but I'll definitely be keeping an eye on it. :)
