Aw man, this is amazing!

Okay now, to be honest, in my opinion the DOMA arc is a bit weird in general, and I hate how they handle some of the characters. But the angst? It's beautiful.

And this fic? It's perfect. I just love how you handle the Pharaoh mental health... situation, in here. And blending the manga with the anime definitely a good decision to make his actions even more in character.

So thank you for writing this. This is Amazing.

This was really good fanfic of the orichalcos arc.
But what if the spirit loosed Yugi During the arc so started he turn back into his season 0 self. Like Yugi is his light that show him to be good and now when he loosed it to show him the good path he becomes more darker and vengeanceful.

Great writing. You really do the characters justice. Your Pieces fanfiction is my favorite Yugioh fanfiction of all time.

I know it's been some time since you've written any Yugioh stories, but could you ever write one about when Dartz manipulates Atem during their duel? It would be interesting to read your interpretation on that, especially since you still mention manga moments even though it's an anime filler arc (the fact that the anime team never showed the side effects of him being in isolation for 3,000 years always pissed me off).

I do believe I was terrified during Yami's "I'm gonna kill you" moments

This was amazing. I loved how you displayed the Pharaoh's emotions. When I was watching that scene, it was really obvious that he was losing it and you portrayed that perfectly. I also liked how you portrayed Haga as being inexperienced in duels using shadow magic; makes it easy to see why he was in so much pain in the anime when Breaker attacked.

This season was a doozy, but I did enjoy Yami's character development, especially knowing what happened in season 0. Insane Pharaoh is my favorite thing (that's probably weird to say) but I just find him interesting. I love the way you write him, it's wonderful! I agree it could have used a bit more crazy, you can never have to much crazy!
I am excited but nervous to get to this spot in my story, I hope I can portray Yami as well as you do!

I can see how people could feel that the Doma arc was "too tame" compared to the manga, but I think that the Spirit was considered "evil" in this arc less for his actions, and more for his motives.

You see, even in the manga when he was killing people and shattering their souls and driving them insane, it was with good intentions. He gave them a chance to change during the Yami-no-game, and when they failed, he punished them. Even with all the messed up stuff he did, he never sacrificed his ideals.

But in the Doma arc, while the things he was doing were, admittedly, more tame, his motives were darker. He sacrificed monsters out of a sole desire to win, without any regard to the fact that he was supposed to be helping them, that these monsters had served him faithfully for years. He did smaller things for the wrong reasons, as opposed to bigger things for the right ones.

Plus, there was the whole "loosing Yugi" thing. That was pretty evil, in my mind. I'm pretty sure during the whole angst scene on the train everyone watching was like, "Yup. You done f*cked up. Nice one."

I like how you wrote this one shot. While I do not approve of his actions, at all, I can see why he did act like that. I can see him thinking these things in the anime. I liked the slight manga flavour to this, too.

And for comment about the pharaoh acting evil in that arc being tame compared to the manga, I absolutely, a hundred percent agree. One thing that annoys me about that arc is how tame Yami acts when he's under the seal and in general. Even when his inner darkness took over, all he did was sacrificed monsters. This is not only lame, but shoving the actions he did in the past under a rug. They could've taken it so much further with his actions, since he did do some very messed up stuff in the past. It annoys me how none of this is addressed, at all. I know that's in the manga and season 0 was a seprate series, but come one! They could've went a little further with it or at least made him more terrifying when he was playing the seal, then making him play duel monsters like a damn idiot (seriously, I suck at playing the game and even I know scarifcing your monsters randomly is a very dumb move.

As for you not watching the first couple seasons, Duelist Kingdom is honestly bad compared to what it was in the manga since it seems like they were combining season 0 in it too. Battle City, on the other hand, is pretty good. It's similar to what happened in the manga, except a tad less bloody. Though, I find how the Noah arc starts in the middle of the Battle City arc annoying.

As a side note, your cover art looks really good, too.

I didnt thought that you gonna put the Manga into this,is great you did so i've always wished for someone to do this, to see whats is gonna be like n_n.

And yes Yami Yugi in the Anime is so much nicer then he is in the Manga,Thats way that bart of the Doma arc was always puzzeld for me, ya knew saying that Yami Yugi is a bad person and his heart is full of Darkness kinda sounds off with how he is in the Anime, but if we put the Manga on it is kinda makes more sense! Right? And this how its it in my headcanon*-*

This is one of the most amazing Orichalcos arc one-shot I have EVER read. Just, the Pharaoh losing his sanity for a moment there, really, that was amazing. ;)

I don't approve of the Pharaoh's actions here, but I can kinda understand how he felt at that point. If someone were to hurt my cat, especially right in front of me, with a malicious sneer clear on their face... I can see myself either breaking down in tears, repeating 'Why?' and 'How could you!?', or going berserk in fury, doing I don't know what...
