I must say, I really enjoyed reading this story. I have absolutely no familiarity with either of the films(?) these characters come from, though I have been introduced to Nigel through your Hannibal crossovers. Lack of familiarity, however, did not immediately translate to a lack of connectivity, which is something I am very grateful for. While working with characters that are not your own in the realm of fanfiction, you are the kind of author I greatly admire: one that has the ability (and takes the time to) reintroduce a character that is generally assumed to be familiar to the audience, but in the author's own style and voice. Too often, fanfiction authors leave the audience to fill in the details on characters they "should know" in their stories. You create your world with care and professionalism. Your plot has logical steps, your setting is well-formulated, and your characters are believable and very REAL.

I also adored the development of the relationship between Nigel and Adam. "Sweet" probably isn't an appropriate label for them, considering who Nigel is and the darker, obsessive tones of his love, but that is the first thing that comes to mind. I really liked how you showed Nigel learning more about Adam's condition and how you very clearly demonstrated Nigel learning to work with Adam's condition instead of trying to "cure" or "fix it." And, realistically, showing Nigel messing up. I also feel that Adam's circumstances were treated with a great deal of respect, something that I certainly respect in you as an author. It would have been very easy to make a few, generic statements, do some "narrator ranting" of the "woe is Adam" variety, and make a very serious condition nothing more than a plot device to get emotion from the reader. People live with this, though, and you did an absolutely brilliant job conveying the day-to-day aspects in addition to the dangers faced by those suffering this affliction. It was conveyed very well. Also, coupling the structural needs of Adam with Nigel's absolute desire to be the center of someone's world was fantastically executed and a stroke of brilliance.

I guess I've ranted a bit, sorry about that. Excellent story, though. I really like your Hannibal fanfiction and this has been a nice branching off that I've really enjoyed. Thanks for your time!

I can't remember if you said you beta this fic or not (yes I'm reading this one too! Even though it's incomplete I'm just so in the mood for Adam/Nigel now!) but let's face it all of your fics are so well written they really don't need it - I usually notice so many spelling mistakes in fanfics because obviously no one is getting paid to write this piece of awesomeness! But this one in the middle of this chappie just made me laugh so much I had to share it:
Freed, Adam wandered back into the apartment a little out of breathe from his excretion, but none too worse for wear as far as Nigel could tell.

I am sure Nigel would not leave Adam alone, ever. It would be nice for Adam, but would Nigel's lifestyle suit someone like Adam? Nigel would do everything to keep him safe, but poor Adam... would he know what he is in for? With all the things that can happen aside, in the long run I do think these two would be good for each other.

I have never watch the two movies, but I did watch the trailers and some clips just so I am able to understand this story. It is amazing how different Adam and Will is. They are on the opposite side of the spectrum. It is still very weird even after three chapters, how Nigel curses. I know you have captured his character spot on. But the image of Hannibal is on the forefront of my mind. They are so different. I image Hannibal would be quite displeased with his way of speech, and that just makes me giggles.

So glad to see the update. This chapter was incredibly sexy and sweet. Good job as always!

I love your concept for this story. Bringing both the characters into a coupled movie of two of the films they were originally in. It's a brilliant idea and honestly this story is moving along amazingly. Your truly talented, and I hope I can see more chapters form you, because your writing is amazing.
