Arendelle changed during the time Anna and Elsa have been gone for past long thirteen years ago since the fateful childhood accident happened that night back when Anna was only five, whereas, Elsa was eight back then, but also during the other time their long lost parents died, leaving their long lost daughters orphaned back when Anna was fifteen, whereas, Elsa was eighteen back then. The streets seemed dark and dreary, but the whole entire kingdom of Arendelle also seemed unwelcoming. The kingdom of Arendelle disappeared through the tree line.

INTERIOR. OLD NURSERY OF ARENDELLE

"Joan" is an excellent and thoughtful piece of fanfiction which was a pleasure to read. Suggesting that Elsa would partake of Anna's activity and that both would compare her to Joan of Arc both deepens their sisterly bond and their capacity to introspect. Other than minor spelling and grammatical errors, there are only two things I would suggest be adjusted:

1. While it is true that those who tried and condemned Joan of Arc were of the Catholic Church (though they had to turn her over to the secular authorities in order to have her burned), they did so without the knowledge of the Pope and were being paid by Joan's English enemies. Joan's charge of sorcery/heresy was politically motivated, just as that given to Elsa by the Duke of Weselton.

2. After what repeatedly happened in the film, I find it difficult to believe that Elsa would be quite so reckless in shooting a blast of frost at Anna. Perhaps a snowball would be more appropriate.

I love it! It's so cute and sweet. I love how it focuses on the sibling affection towards Anna and Elsa! That just brightened up my day!

Awesome idea! Once I saw the title and description, I knew what it meant! :D And I figured that the painting was of Joan of Arc. I really like that you had Elsa take a turn at this, so that she could talk to someone who wouldn't talk back. Once Anna saw that Elsa was doing this, she couldn't turn away. Then when the moment is right, she speaks up and tells Elsa that she is not what she says she is. That's one of Elsa's weaknesses, with her being so consumed by her fear that she won't listen to Anna, who is right about what she tells her. Anna always had and will always love Elsa, no matter what. It's what best friends do, and they only want to be close once again. More so, the differences they have are very complementary: Anna is optimistic and fearless that she can encourage Elsa to do what she believes she can do, especially when it came to thawing Arendelle. And the ending is very cute; I'm sure they want to recapture their lost childhood together as much as they can.
