If you have followed cannon so far then yeah the future of Naruto repeating the past Hokages mistakes is certainly unlikely if not completely unbelievable and too forced to seem like something that would really happen

The one thing he wanted to do as Hokage was probably correct they're mistakes and try and fix them

He fixed Hashirama's mistake of giving away the Biju instead he allowed to roam free and even let them choose either if they wanted to roam free or in Gyuki's case stay with they're Jinchuriki

He fixes Tobirama's mistake of ruining a clans image in favor if his biasness by showing the world that the Uchiha wasn't as bad as Tobirama painted them as with a reformed Sasuke and Itachi's own actions as proof

*Sasuke took up Jiraiya's role as the shadow protector of the leaf and even going above and beyond that as acting as the protector of the whole planet from anything that would threaten the peace they have built*

Sarutobi didn't really make any mistakes that needed to be fixed...after all it seemed as though Orochimaru was finally redeemed if he was actually willing to put his own child at risk of being killed by somebody who hated him in favor of showing his willingness to leave everybody alone just so that they leave him alone to advance in his medical researches

Minato...well Naruto fixed the grudge between him and Iwa during the war so that's over and done with

Tsunade...she had no grudges and problems with anybody that needed fixing

Kakashi...he was mostly a figurehead leader with Tsunade acting as the actual leader...read the novels for a better explanation

Though points to you for being one of the few who actually KNOW that Madara isn't all
