when I read the warning for this chapter I was scared it was going to be James or Lily trying to pressure the other but knowing what actually happened is worse and way more heart breaking

This story was adorable! And so well written you have a talent

This was an absolutely fantastic MASTERPIECE! And I'm so shocked at how good it was and how its genius unexpectedly hit me splat in the face cause it only got better and better with each chapter! wow I'm still under impression and the moment I finished it I went back to the very beginning and read my favorite parts all over again!

It is just the kind of story I love. It's very meaty, full and delicious in relationship department. It has this palpable chemistry and pull between James and Lily that's so obvious and attractive, it's super hot and sensual and also angsty in the best way. And it's so satisfying, you don't often have stories that set up conflict, attraction and build up and the climax of it all is just extremely satisfying!

The characterization is beautiful and I just loved, loved, loved how James wasn't a pushover for Lily (such a famous annoying trope for too many fics). Lily having to work for it only makes for a better story!

The scenes were so well-written. That scene where James sobs in Lily's arms and almost 'relapses' back to her but still holds himself back was such perfection. It was the mix of very sexy and very angsty and it's honestly the best mix! And to think by that time the fic has already solidified in my eyes as a masterpiece but when this happened I almost whistled, like, well dayum!

And then the little details that only make storytelling so much more colorful. Like for example when they have sex in the train compartment and James is angry at Lily and cold towards her so the only change in his attire is that his trousers were zipped down, meanwhile Lily is ready to give herself to him fully so she's fully dishevelled and splayed out for him. Just this description and mental image is already powerful enough to convey the message of the scene. Or the galleon that James wordlessly and without looking gives up for Emmeline after his disaster date. It's small things like these that elevate the story further.

Anyway, I think I've bored you enough with so much rambling and I could probably go on and on about every little detail I absolutely loved about this so I'll just say that this was truly phenomenal and I had a damn good time reading it so THANK YOU!

Thank you for writing this. While I was, I confess, secretly and a mite sadistically hoping Lily is actually rejected in the last still, I loved how you portrayed every character; especially Peter.

Slightly afraid but not quite yet a absolute bastard, having his own strengths and quirks; this is one of the best portrayals he has been given.

Non OC-SI with Sirius was refreshing, and while I disliked Dumbledore's indulgence towards Snape a bit, I found everything else near-impeccable.

That was arousing as hell.

Heart-in-the-throat depressing, made me want to bawl off in a toilet somewhere, but arousing as hell.

You are a fucking brilliant writer.
