My gosh the emotional rollercoasterrrrr! Favorite things:
Roy being drolly distracted by the view out of his office window (and Al being bashful) in chapter 1.
Ed's dreams and subsequent meltdown (and it actually manifesting at a believable level, fever and all taken into consideration).
Maes is a huge child.
Literally everything about the scenes where Ed and Roy are walking in the rain. The introspection, the way Roy manages to address the conversation without it being weird...(props for that, by the way), Ed being... Ed. The whole topic of...well... what almost happened feeling like how it might happen in real life instead of how it might happen in popular fiction... usually... Um am I even making sense?
Ed walking super close to Al.

love it! just the one geammatical thing: you don't "catch sick". you either "get sick" or "catch an illness".

This is lovely, I love all your works. Fluent, I couldn't stop reading it.
