Kiki1770 chapter 28 . 8/14 Nooo! This can't be the last chapter! Please keep writing! |
Kiki1770 chapter 22 . 8/14 Oh wow, those letters were heartbreaking. Good on you Ron. |
Kiki1770 chapter 21 . 8/14 I'm definitely surprised Ron is moving on from Spying but it's also kind of refreshing that within the story he goes through change more than once. |
Kiki1770 chapter 11 . 8/14 Yes yes yes! Team Ron, Snape, and McGonagall! |
Kiki1770 chapter 9 . 8/14 Kenny is such a cute baby Slythern and I'm pretty sure Helen left out some info out here. Wasn't she supposed to say that the diadem is where all lost things are? |
Kiki1770 chapter 4 . 8/13 Slow beginning, but I can't wait to read about what Ron does differently with his time away from Harry and Hermione. |
Mari chapter 28 . 4/30 I hope you update someday, this fanfic is wonderful! |
femmedefoi chapter 16 . 2/2 I’m still cringing at Harry’s reaction to Ron, but it totally makes sense. Without Ron coming back and saving Harry from the pond, their last interaction ended with Ron seemingly walking out on them for months—I’d be angry too. |
femmedefoi chapter 11 . 2/2 UGH THIS CHAPTER HAD ME GRINNING |
The Grey-White chapter 28 . 2/2 this story really good. cant wait to see the next XD |
Ron Weasley Centric Fan chapter 28 . 1/30 This story is amazing! I'd love to see the story explore Ron's thoughts with what the horcrux did to him though, and Ron acknowledge what it meant that "the horcrux affects him worse than Harry or Hermione." In the story, Ron basically feels "shame and guilt at what he did" but with the way he is going in the Mind Arts, he might soon begin to understand just how much of it was "Ron" and how much was "the horcrux" After all, a horcrux was mentally torturing him for the better part of a couple of months with his own crippling insecurities he has had for years, whispering lies and cutting words to him. He has always had self-confidence issues, and on top of the inadequacy he feels about him self, Ron also has to deal with the constant fear about his family, that anyone of them could die and he wouldn't even know it or be there to fight with them. Then, he also has to deal with the bad emotions being in close proximity of the horcrux (fear, anger, despair, hunger, loneliness) of not just his own emotions and temper but also his friends when they wear the locket. And because the horcrux affects him worse, when his friends blow up at him while they are wearing it, would it not make his own insecurities / fears / anger even worse? And then when he wears it, more lies and whispers, or the horcrux making him feel shame and guilt for how "useless" he is or all types of insecurities Ron has had for years. Added to the fact he has been injured by the splinching and is recovering slowly (and needed more food and nourishment to recover now than ever), the horcrux was no doubt whispering to him that he was even less "useful" because he can't do much and was too weak to do anything but lie down and recover. Then the fact that Harry was the Boy Who Lived, and Hermione the smartest witch of her age are just more icing on the cake, and then Hermione being the woman he loves and him nearly dying and her having to save him because he couldn't do anything... -the horcrux had plenty of ammo to attack Ron mentally with. It would be interesting to see the story explore this, or at least Hermione and Harry address this with Ron and say there is "nothing to forgive", because Ron is shouldering all the guilt for "his actions" when really, he has been affected FAR worse by the horcrux due to his emotional and physical state. It is very similar to Ginny in the Chamber of Secrets. She was affected by a horcrux too, yes she was eleven, but we have to remember Ginny faced a 15yr old Tom Riddle, Ron faced an adult version of Voldemort who was an expert of the Mind Arts and knew how to mentally abuse and torture people. People often miss the fact that if it hadn't been for the Snatchers, Ron would have been back 5mintues later, crying and in hysterics, but the trio would have said "we know you didn't mean it." Anyway, I know this story is AU but seeing as this is a spinoff of what Ron did next, we obviously haven't seen Ron truly address his actions over what happened, only to constantly say "sorry" to Harry and Hermione, and guilt and shame over his actions, which get further exacerbated by his ACTUAL, fully-coherent and in control of himself, decision to not leave Hogwarts with them due to his new mission. Really looking forward to the next chapter. Keep up the AMAZING work :) |
