I'll preface this by saying that it's a universal fact that dark, edgy Ichika stories are only a slight improvement over OC centric stories. It's like comparing tripping into a pile of manure versus falling into a septic tank, yeah one is worse but at the end of the day you're still covered in shit. However, through some extraordinary means, likely black magic that required a human sacrifice, this fic manages to defy that universal truth, and is not only *not shit*, it's actually an incredibly good story. Despite being an incredibly different AU with different circumstances, the characters still "feel" like themselves, even if they don't always act like it. Definitely worth a read, and I hope against hope that this gets picked up and continued someday, beside it deserves it.

I'll never accept the fact that they let Char through as a male IS pilot without actually physically checking her gender. It's such an absurd reach considering the state of the world. Too bad you included this too.

This is honestly one of the best IS fanfics I have ever read. It's an amazing story to be honest and it deserves a lot more than it gets

A very unique take on the IS universe. Kind of dark but not overly so. There is some OOC for most of the characters; but there are good reasons given for why the characters are acting differently. For some characters the OOC is having their defining traits cranked up to 11. Think of a very eccentric and very scary Tabane. So scary that it's perfectly understandable why they want to drop a large nuclear warhead on her and even the country that got nuked would be thankful for it.
