HOD was always one of my favorite episodes-Xena comments how intoxicating evil can be and Gabrielle answers oh yeah,beautifully crafted "oh yeah" by short tale is really quite extraordinary because it captures the infinite depth of Xena and Gabrielle's devotion to each other and because of their commitment to it and to fight "for the right", they have little time to express and experience their complete love for each other. Although erotic, the story moves beyond the sexual as the author notes and this is mirrored in the writing itself-so well done. I really felt the transcendence of Xena and G's "soulmate" love for each other- in this brief time out of time, while all hell is breaking loose around them, they carve a space for their much needed togetherness. Excellent writing, construction and very beautiful story that communicated what soulmates meant for this pair.
