I'm don't really care if this is a fanfiction or not, I thought it was brilliant! I particularly loved the fact that you put a real case into the whole story (even if some details according to other reviews lacked truth), plus who doesn't love a bit of Sherlolly? You can tell how good any story is by how much you can't put it down, so considering I read it in one sitting says everything:) only critic is that there isn't more!x

Seeing the whole story, you needn't change the Catholic Church label, but you do need to switch Westminster Abbey to Westminster Cathedral (two very different churches and two separate religions) or to St. Paul's Cathedral. Then, you would need to drop lines about the royal family ties, as those are to the Abbey. Having those details straight would make the story better.

I know it is a fic, but this just got absurd. Mycroft most likely would not be a Freemason, as he would have to put the organization above Queen and country. The Illuminati just knocks this into being unbelievable. However implausible, this story does have a crafted plot, and I appreciate that. There's nothing worse than chapter after chapter of indulgent fluff.

Does the Catholic Church come into play? You may want to change your summary. Westminster isn't a Catholic Church. It's Anglican, and just for the record, their priests can marry.
