California, born from the fires of rebellion, has gained independence in the year 1836. With the potential for limitless growth, but a world changing rapidly and not always for the better, it falls to those governing the nation to steer the ship of state towards the golden horizon, and navigate the uncharted waters of a changing world to greatness. To become independent in the early 1800s is to enter a world of chaos. Scotland, a land centuries old but joined to England for over a century, has done so, and at once faces the challenges of independence and imperialism in the 1800s. With its home split between Highlands and Lowlands and lands abroad being snapped up by empires, Scotland will attempt to stand the test of time.

Bali has always been a mere shadow of the Netherlands. Forced to submit to the great power and live on as a primitive tribe. With the world changing quickly, and empires beginning to consume more and more islands, the Royal Faction understands that the time to rise is here. Will Bali be able to rise up to the challenge and become one of the great powers of the world?
