The Captain of the Sunrider was never meant to be. Instead, Kayto Shields, Ceran Captain and veteran of the PACT Rebellion. Years before Cera's Fall, the future would forever change. Rising Dragon picks up where Sunrider Liberation Day left off, events that occur in the background of the galaxy while Captain Shields idles about. This is a story about a captain, his crew, and the newly repaired Battleship Yamato as they set out for the stars to reclaim something lost. A story of dangers, adventure, politics, inconstant time skips, war, romance(?), and much more.

After twisting time and changing history, Kayto Shields faces another difficult challenge. Alongside Asaga, the Sunrider, and a small fleet of Ceran and Ryuvian ships, he embarks on his first mission in two long years. Cosette has pulled together the largest pirate fleet in the galaxy, and it doesn't look like she's going down without a fight. (Takes place after REturn!)

When Ava wakes up and finds herself next to her Captain, she figures pretty quickly that something is wrong. However, it seems that everything that is "wrong" happens to be just how she wants it rather than how it ought to be as a wedding ring and other pieces of a life seemingly lost to her would attest.
