When Talion first woke up in the past, he thought he was dreaming. Part 5 of "Variations on a Theme", a series of unrelated one-shots tied in with Middle-Earth: Shadow of War.

Talion: fought off Sauron until his inner Nazgul took over. Eltariel: battled darkness coast to coast. Baranor: led an army of mercenaries to take a fort of his own. Idril? Well, that's where the bad news comes in. Watch as a special group of orcs and two human warriors play a role in the rise of a new evil!

Talion climbs down Celebrimbor's tower after being reborn for the first time, only to get ambushed the moment he sets foot on Mordor. A one shot at the beginning of the Shadow of Mordor game; just me trying to get a feel for the characters. Rated T for canon violence.

The Orcs of the Black Gate move out, making plans to go to Minas Ithil to alleviate the siege taking place, to hopefully prevent it's capture by Sauron's forces. While there, Tulgan, Warchief of the Black Gate, The Last Blade of Morgoth, is thrust back into a past he has tried to forget, as he attempts to rescue a prisoner of Sauron's forces.

When Celebrimbor is ripped from Talion in the wake of the forging of their new ring, Talion finds that he is willing to sacrifice it to rescue Celebrimbor from Shelob's torture. Unsurprisingly, Celebrimbor does not appreciate the gesture.

Dreams in Mordor are dangerous things full of haunted memories and things that can never be. So, Talion does what anyone else would do; he throws himself into battle and ignores his need to sleep. Unfortunately, his self-neglect has consequences. Celebrimbor tried to warn him, but since when has Talion actually listened to his wraith?

Slightly AU. Six powerful Orcs, all with a grudge against the Gravewalker, join forces with one of the Nazgûl to claim their revenge. Talion and Celebrimbor must now rally their forces to battle a powerful and skilled enemy hell-bent on destroying them. (Set in Seregost before the mission to hunt Helm Hammerhand)

During the Shadow Wars, Talion receives an unusual guest in the tower of Minas Morgul. What might a former Ranger of the Black Gate have to say to a Ranger of the North?

With each passing day, Talion lost a bit more of himself to the Ring.

Talion has fought hard for Middle-Earth. He has fought long to keep the armies of Mordor at bay. He has given up everything to combat Sauron. And now, there's not much of him left to keep fighting. A rewritten ending to Shadow of War. I do not own the rights to these characters. Also, SPOILERS for Acts III & IV of Shadow of War.

Instead of being cursed with undeath, Talion is turned instead into a beast. With the Black Captains gone and their plans foiled , he now has to make a new life for himself in the land he once held off against.
