When the game refuses to give you the backstories, you make up your own. Each ghost in the Last Resort has their own story, some more depressing than others, and I am here today to tell you the definitely-not-just-my-headcanons stories to how they came to be. Even the dead need a break every once in a while, especially after their last fiasco. And chancing upon tickets for a week long stay in Delfino Island is something the staff of the Last Resort simply can't pass up. They can definitely handle what the island can throw at them, unlike some people who just can't... right? (On temporary hiatus.)

It's up to Daisy to save everyone and Luigi from an awful marriage.

A strange portal has appeared in Boo Woods, and King Boo has just the right human in mind to test it out on.
