Rosamund and Edith go to Switzerland 'to improve their French'. There they find the last person on earth they expected: Anthony, who has been hiding out in Appenzell, near the German border, for two years avoiding Edith. Remembering that Anthony has connections in Germany, she sends him on a chase to find Michael Gregson...

Very AU and unlike me at all...well, maybe it is. Anthony is asked to escort Edith to her wedding. Things don't go as planned.

WARNING: SEASON 4 SPOILERS imagines that Violet DID die of Influenza in series 4, but before she dies she seeks Isobel's help to make amends to both Edith and Anthony. Although the episode where Violet was ill did not take place at Christmas I thought I would set it then anyway.

Modern AU, Edith Crawley works in a London publishing house, her life consists of friends, work, and dodging her meddlesome parents. After an unfortunate set up with Anthony Strallan at the Downton Christmas Buffet, she decides to keep a diary, chronicling the new year.

1960s London, Anthony Strallan is living a very simple life when his path suddenly crosses with the daughter of an old family friend. Edith Crawley has grown up since he's seen her last, now she's a bright young member of the swinging London scene... and taking an interest in him.

It was the eventful day when Mr. Napier and Mr. Pamuk were invited by the Crawley family for fox hunting. Edith has been feeling left out of the love scene as her effort to romantically connect with Matthew had been left unwanted. This is an alteration of the story in season 1 on what it would be like had things turned out differently for Mr. Pamuk's character.

Rosamund's words struck a neve in Edith and she had to think. But where do her thoughts lead her?
