Believe it or not, there is a shortage of Jonathan Brisby stories or any mention in the character list of "Secret of NIMH" when one initiates writing a story. There is absolutely little known about him, considering that he is an important character, that I feel it's unfair to just forget about him. Who was he really like? What was his relationship with Mrs. Brisby like? Why did he choose to start to live on his own? His life was cut so short that we never really knew anything about him.
