the title sucks... the first chapter is just a fluffy little thing where peder and miri take the walk they talked about in the book... i hope to turn this into a multichapter fic.

What happened after the bandits attacted the Academy? How did Peder understand Miri's quarry speech all the way in the village? And when he did, how did he convice the others to save them? This is his story of what happened that night.
