Like many of Louis L'amour's tales, his short story, Beyond The Chaparral, ended on a cliffhanger, leaving it up to the reader to ultimately decide the ending. Thus, the story has remained unfinished... until now.

After reading and watching The Shadow Riders by Louis LaMour, I've often thought what would happen to the three brothers. This focuses on Jesse, he seemed shy around girls, so this story came to mind. These characters were created by Louis L'amour and I write this just for fun.

This is an intriguing love story for me that Louis L'Amour gave a teasing glimpse at in his short story 'One for the Pot'. It is a lead up and a little of what I imagined followed the exciting events in his tale. A young girl finds herself in an unfamiliar country, the mail-order bride of a man she's never met.

When Clay Bell, not expecting trouble, gets shot at his wedding, Rush Jackson has to figure out whats going on, and has to take charge of the ranch while Clay recovers and unknown marksmen try to kill all of the B-Bar riders. Battles decides to help William Tell Sackett to start a ranch in Texas even though Battles is sick of the heat. When they find a gold mine on the land Sackett purchases the neighboring ranchers try to scare them off. But they don't know very much about Sackett's.
