The sound of booming thunder and crackling lightning lit the world around her. As raindrops splattered across the windshield, making the lights that strewed across sky turn into swirls and lines across glass. The tires squealed and the sound of screaming greeted Daisy's ears. She closed her eyes as the car flipped over and spun through the air. (Daisy is replaced by someone new.)

What if it wasn't Gatsby and Daisy that met before the war, but Nick and Jordan? Jordan is a young girl of 18 that is caught in the middle of her older and younger sister. However, one night, she meets a handsome soldier by the name of Nick Carraway who is stationed at Camp Taylor. What could conspire between the two before Nick heads off to war? Will they ever be reunited?

If the Great Gatsby had a 10th chapter, what would it be about? There are thousands of ways that it could have ended, but this is my take on the chapter and how I thought that it should have ended. I hope you enjoy reading it because I had a ton of fun writing it!

On the way back from the Plaza, Tom kills Myrtle instead of Daisy, and Nick and Jordan bear witness to it. Tom is beside himself in grief but is unwilling to go to jail or tell Wilson what happened. In a down spiral of desperation and fear, he coerces Nick and Jordan into a promise of silence surrounded by abuse, betrayal, and blackmail.

None of them will ever forget that summer;even as they go about their lives. For better, or for worse Jay Gatsby changed them. Whatever the case the roaring twenties is but the calm before the storm. They will all witness history being made;but for now they focus on healing the wounds left in the wake of Gatsby's death.
