Post Lethal White - It's Nick's 40th Birthday, he's having a fancy party and Strike and Robin are both dressing to impress, though they'd never admit who they were hoping to impress. Or would they?

In between the Quine case and The Shacklewell Ripper affair, Strike takes some time to rest and recuperate and maybe even help out a fellow Arsenal fan at the same time.

{BBC version} Ella Campbell the only adopted child of the Campbell family, living by herself with her roommate Lindsey James who introduces Ella to her cousin Robin Ellacott, who recognises the name Campbell, the two become close friends and some how she is back in the life of Cormoran Blue Strike.

Strike had never known a love different from Charlotte's, and other thoughts that consume Strike's brain when a case fails to hold his attention.

When she spoke, it was barely above a whisper. "How long?"

There are words that cannot be unsaid or forgotten and a few of them are fighting to slip past Strike's lips as he stands there on these stairs, freshly released from a hug that feels a little forbidden and far too right.

It picks up a few months after the ending of Lethal White. Robin lives in her new flat and she is finally in a good place, as is Cormoran. But his past comes back to give him another case.

What if Cormoran's visit to the hospital to see Robin when she was attacked in Career of Evil had turned out differently? AU. Oneshot.

Summary: His ego, alongside John Bristow's murderous motive of envy, almost got the better of him. He should have known better.

A night out for Robin and Cormoran takes an unexpected, but not unpleasant, turn.

Sometimes, amid the hurt and confusion, when all is said and done, you just know its time. This expands a scene in The Cuckoo's Calling TV drama. I do not own these characters.

Robin knew, deep in her bones, that with this day-with this wedding-she was cementing her future, and sealing her fate.
