I have been writing and beta reading for several years now. I enjoy helping others improve if I'm able to. That being said, I'm usually brutally honest. If it's horrible, I'm going to tell you it's horrible; but I will tell you specifically why I think that so you know what to work on. I usually have more to say when something is bad. So the less I say, the better I think the story is. br /br /

If you want me to beta read the entire story, do tell me. For some reason I tend to assume I'm only supposed to beta read the one chapter.

I'm better at picking out other people's spelling/grammar errors than my own. I like to think I'm good with characterization.

Over-punctuation is a problem for me. I stick commas everywhere. Some days I am easily confused or miss a lot when reading, so I try to read pieces multiple times.

As far as genres: horror, fantasy, and comedy. I love a story that messes with your mind and there needs to be something happening. I don't like to read a lot of boring nothing.

Romance. Not a fan. Especially if it's the main focus. If it's something in the back and isn't mentioned much that's fine. While I think people should play with their diction, I do not like to have to reach for the dictionary every few minutes while reading.
