I recommend this if you are confident with your style and prose and just want someone to look over your work like a slightly more intelligent spellcheck. Medium: line edits and style. I can help with the flow of your writing; I can help de-purple (or re-purple) your prose; generally, I can help you make your fic fun and engaging to read. I recommend this if you are confident with your plot but want someone to help make it sparkle; this is the default for most beta reading. Spicy: the previous two levels, plus plot and characterization help. Don't know where your plot is taking you? Totally lost the thread of your outline? Characters are behaving out of character and you don't know how to make them stop? We've all been there. I'm probably there right now. I can help you get your plot and characterization back on track. Be warned: this is probably the option that will net you the most amount of constructive critique, so I recommend this only if you know you can accept it. That being said: I am never mean or rude with my suggestions for edits, and I try to explain any suggestions I make that aren't just minor spelling or grammar corrections. My goal is to help you write the fic you want to write, however that looks. If you want me to look for something specific, or if you want me to stop making certain suggestions because I keep correcting a Thing You're Doing On Purpose, let me know and I will adapt my beta style. I am more than happy to read fandom blind! I'll read just about anything! That said, I love romance in all flavors and any orientations, fantasy, adventure, mystery, sci-fi, or any combination of the above. Any length is fine too, though if you are in the process of writing a story or a series that is planned to be over 100k words, I'd like to get in on the ground floor. I will read fics of any rating. Violence and sexual content are fine, but please warn me if there's gonna be anything graphic.

I don't like reading kidfics, mpreg, A/B/O, any kinks involving bodily excretions, romance fics where the pair (or more) involves an underage person paired with someone much older than them. Age gap is fine as long as they're both adults. I won't read fics involving graphic depictions of violence or torture. If you're not sure if that applies to your fic, just ask me and I'll let you know if I'm comfortable with beta reading it.
