Hm, who I am when I am beta-reading... When I am reading the work of others, I might lean towards being a bit more thorough in that I feel that a good descriptive base can make or break a story. As I read your work, I may make suggestions about other words or phrases to use, replace, or remove that will help to give your written work the feeling that you wish it to have. I don't like to be harsh and I'm not cold-hearted. I understand that everyone has their own style and the work you send me may be the best thing you've ever written! I try to respect that and critique the writing based on the work as a whole, not comparing it to any other stories I may have seen in the past. There are a couple of things I expect from you if you ask me to beta your story (or stories): 1) Please be polite with me. You need to realize that I am critiquing your work and I will be correcting incorrect spelling, punctuation, grammar, etc. I will not be rude unless you give me reason to be (i.e., you are inconsiderate or rude to me to begin with.) 2) Any corrections or suggestions I make to you and your work are not personal comments to bring you down. Be confident! You're the author and you know what you want the story to say! Stand by what you've written. 3) If for any reason you are repeatedly rude to me and you belittle my opinions, I can and will refuse to beta the rest of your current story. I'm sorry if this offends anyone, but I don't need someone dragging me down when I know I can still help others. Sorry! Finally, feel free to let me know if you'd like my assistance. I feel that my strengths as a writer are my descriptive abilities and my vocabulary. In my reading and writing, I tend to focus on setting up the mood and feeling of the story before I can develop everything else. Without those elements, I really do believe that stories can completely fail at entertaining the readers in the intended manner.

I, like so many others, am a little unsure of my weaknesses due to the fact that no one has ever really pinpointed them. If I were to choose something, however, I would say that I can often get distracted when writing. My brain tends to move very fast and I sometimes have to stop and regroup to make sure that I don't lose the main point of my story. If anyone has something else about my writing that they feel I need to work on, please let me know! I know I'm not perfect people, so bring it on! :D

I'm not gonna be shy about this, so here goes: I love me some smut. I enjoy reading it and writing it. That's not to say that I don't also thoroughly enjoy a story that develops over time too! Frankly, I just like pretty much anything, and it's darn near impossible to make me feel awkward so don't be shy when sending material my way!

Honestly, I don't care what type of story I beta so bring it!
